that I need a haircut. I haven't cut my hair (one, but not all of them) since my birthday in May. I've just been busy, or rather, Kayla has kept me busy since spring. I've tried making a couple of appointments but to no avail...

that I've somehow wound up on a bunch of committees at church. I don't even go to church on a regular basis anymore. Kayla started going to youth group meetings this fall, so I've been helping out. I'm also doing the newsletter, as the editor. I'm now new chairperson of the Youth Council. Part of Church Council and SPRC too.....

that Prince is up to something, and there might be a concert or album in the near future. Which makes me wonder if I would go, if I would go through the hassle and rush of trying to get to a concert anywhere in California...or if that kind of devotion lies completely and hopelessly with Gerard Butler now instead....

I need to learn more about Podcasting. What are they? What are they for? Do I need to subscribe to NerdTV or the Yoga show?

that I may not have enough money at the end of the month, especially if I want to do any day after Thanksgiving shopping. How depressing...but I'll still be out there, early Friday morning. It's just too much fun! :)

A cool little web site called FLIPBOOKS! that allows you to create your own flipbooks. Just draw on the screen, hit next, draw some more, next, etc, etc. Cool!

I had never known that I shared a surname with one of the main defendents in the "Sleepy Lagoon" incident, which was portrayed in the 1981 movie "Zoot Suit" starring Edward James Olmos.

Zoot Suit Riots is a powerful film that explores the complicated racial tensions and the changing social and political landscape that led up to the explosion on LA's streets in the summer of 1943.

I had been doing a search, seeing where my personal web page would turn up when I ran across the PBS article about the incident and ensuing riots.
